Test Prep & College Admissions
What’s on the SAT?
The SAT is made up of four sections: Reading Comprehension, Writing & Language, Math without a Calculator, and Math with a Calculator. Each section includes a variety of skills and content…
Reading Comprehension is made up of 5 full passages; each passage is accompanied questions that test students’ ability to understand what they are reading, find evidence backing up their answers, and interpret vocabulary in context.
The Writing Section tests students on two basic abilities: Grammar Rules and Expression of Ideas.
The Math sections include a mix of Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Data Analysis questions, with mostly Multiple Choice questions and a few Free Response Grid-In questions. There is a non-calculator and calculator section.
The SAT is going digital in 2024, and the test format will change as well (learn more). Also, learn more about how the SAT and ACT differ.
